We take the protection of your personal data very seriously and strive to inform you comprehensively about the processing of your personal data. The following privacy notices apply to you when you contact us, when contract negotiations take place with us and/or when contractual agreements exist with us and data of natural persons is processed in this context. The legal basis is in particular the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). Which data is processed in detail depends largely on the agreed services. Therefore not all parts of this information will be relevant to you.

How do we collect your personal data and which categories of data do we use?

As a rule, we collect your data from you directly.

However, it may also be necessary to process personal data that we receive from other companies, authorities or other third parties, for example credit agencies, tax offices or similar. This may also include personal data that we receive through our whistleblower channels regarding possible compliance violations or in the course of compliance investigations.

The personal data may include: first and last name, gender, telephone and mobile number, email address, function/role, company name, company address, tax number, registration number, Global Location Number (GLN), product groups/sales categories, language.

You always have the choice of communicating with us by email or by post. For technical reasons, communication by email may be unencrypted.

Purposes and legal basis of processing

Your data is processed on the basis of a legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is of an economic nature, namely to optimise the organisation of the business relationship between you and us as controller. The purpose of the processing is to provide a simplified way of contacting the contact persons of our business partners.

Who receives the personal data you provide?

Within our company, those departments that need the data you provide to fulfil contractual or legal obligations or to pursue legitimate interests are given access to it. Within the scope of our contractual relationships, we also engage processors or service providers who may be given access to your personal data. Compliance with data protection requirements is ensured contractually.

How long is the data retained?

Personal data is retained for as long as is necessary to conduct our business relationships.

Are you obliged to provide the data?

There is no legal or contractual obligation to provide us with your contact details. However, your employer may generally instruct you, within the scope of your employment, to provide your business contact details, as without this data we will usually not be able to enter into a business relationship with you or your company.

Is data transferred to third countries?

If we transfer personal data to recipients outside the European Economic Area (EEA), the transfer only takes place if the EU Commission has confirmed an adequate level of data protection for the third country, if an adequate level of data protection has been agreed with the data recipient (for example by means of EU standard contractual clauses) or if you have given us your consent.

What rights do you have as a data subject?

You have the right to obtain, upon request and free of charge, information about the personal data we store about you. In addition, subject to the statutory provisions, you have the right to rectification and erasure of this personal data, the right to data portability and the right to restriction of processing. Where we process your personal data on the basis of consent, you have the right to withdraw this consent at any time with effect for the future. In these cases, please contact our data protection officer named below in writing or by email. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection supervisory authority if you do not agree with the processing of your personal data.
